Practical information
- Meeting with the team at the centre on Tipaniers beach
- Distribution of equipment and fitting of wetsuits
- Boarding in the boat for a briefing on the activity, safety instructions and the whales
- Departure for 3 hours or more at sea in search of humpback whales
- Once a whale that behaves in a way that makes it suitable for launching has been found, fitting of your snorkelling equipment (fins, mask and snorkel) and launching into the water with the guide (those who wish to do so can stay on board the boat)
- Swimming at least 100 metres to get close to the whale, respecting safety distances and respect for the animal
- Return to the boat, de-equipping and navigation back to the centre
- Disembarkation, return of wetsuits and end of the activity
If you want to take part in the launch, you need to be able to swim at least 100 metres without seeing the bottom.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Pregnant people cannot participate in this activity.
Wild animals are unpredictable; we cannot guarantee that you will see them during this activity.
