Practical information
From mid-December to mid-April (depending on snow conditions and when the ski lifts are open), paragliding above La Clusaz is a must-do activity just a stone's throw from Annecy.
The Beauregard take-off is located at the top of the Beauregard cable car. You can take off on foot or on skis, as you prefer. Note that if you want to take off on foot, you'll need to buy a pedestrian pass to get to the top of the gondola (€6).
The Beauregard flight has a total difference in altitude of 700 m, during which you will fly over La Clusaz and can even take control of the paraglider under the instructor's supervision.
At the end of the flight, if you wish, the instructor can also perform a few acrobatic flight tricks. Thrills guaranteed!
Allow around 30 minutes for the whole activity, including the briefing, equipment and setting up the paraglider. The flight itself lasts around 10 minutes, depending on the weather conditions.
- Meeting with the instructor at the top of the Beauregard chairlift (ride of around 10 minutes not included in the price: can be purchased with your ski pass or with a pedestrian lift pass at €9.50 for adults, €7 for under-14s, available from the pass sales office next to the start of the Beauregard charlift) at the "œufs" exit, on the right near the wooden "RDV parapente" sign
- Preparation of the paraglider and equipment
- Briefing on the course of the flight and safety instructions
- Take off on foot or skis for an 8 to 10-minute paragliding flight over La Clusaz
- Landing near the snow front next to the Champ Bleu ski lift
- De-equipping and end of the activity
Minimum weight: 44 lbs (20 kg) / Maximum weight: 242 lbs (110 kg)
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Please allow up to 30 minutes before the start of the activity so that you have time to buy your chairlift ticket (longer or shorter wait depending on the period) and get to the meeting point (about 10 minutes by chairlift).
This activity is not accessible to pregnant people or people with motor disabilities.
The times for this activity are indicative and depend on the weather: please contact the instructor once your booking has been confirmed, at the latest the day before the flight, to confirm the meeting time.
Flight duration is dependent on the weather and wind conditions. Therefore, the school can cancel the activity if the conditions aren’t safe enough.
Up to 2 people can fly in the same slot: if you book for more than 2 people in the same slot, the extra participants will fly in the next slot, 30 minutes later.
People accompanying you as spectators of the flight may come to the take-off point or go to the landing area to watch you fly.
If you wish, you can take an image option on site (with 2 to 4 short videos and 20 to 30 photos) at €25 for 1 person, €20 per person for 2 people and €15 per person for 3 or more participants (payment on site by cheque or cash).
