Practical information
Training over 2 half-days of 3 hours each, leading to Basic Freediver certification (possible gateway to the first Freediver level)
- Meeting with the guide at the Chango Diving base in the port of Nice
- Gear up at the base where you can leave your personal belongings if required
- Board the boat opposite the base
- Sail for around 10 minutes to the freediving site in the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer
- Equipment check and safety briefing before launching
- Introduction to freediving in small groups with the instructor, for around 20 minutes at a maximum depth of 6 metres
- Return aboard the boat, with the option of snorkelling on your own (under the supervision of an instructor from the boat) if you wish, while waiting for the other participants to complete their introductory dive
- Approximately 10-minute return sail to the port of Nice
- Disembarkation, de-equipping at the base and planning of the next freediving session
All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.
All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Written parental authorisation is required for minors between 14 to 18 years old to participate in this activity without an accompanying adult.
Participants who wear glasses can bring their own mask adapted to their eyesight. Otherwise, please ask your optician if you wish to wear contact lenses during the activity.
People wishing to take part in the outing as a companion, without taking part in the launch, pay the same price as the participants.
