Practical information
- Reception at the Roger Grange water sports centre in Carry-le-Rouet
- Theoretical presentation of diving equipment, then gear-up
- Boarding of the boat and navigation to the dive site
- Launch of the 4 participants with the instructor for approximately 1.5 hours
- Exercises on the surface, then immersion to a maximum depth of 6 metres
- Return to the boat and debriefing on the way back to the base
- De-equipping and rinsing of equipment
- Short oral theory test
- Receipt of your SDI Scuba Discovery certification and end of the activity
Basic overview of physics/physiology and how it is linked to diving:
- Overview of physics/physiology and its links with diving (buoyancy, pressure, balancing techniques)
- Overview of the aquatic and marine environment
- Presentation of scuba diving equipment and its assembly
- Underwater communication
- Useful underwater techniques (ear release and equalisation, mask release, buoyancy control, etc.)
All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.
Written parental authorisation is required for minors to participate in this activity.
This activity is not accessible to pregnant people and disabled people.
