Practical information
Try canyoning down the stunning Frades River, and spend a few hours in its natural surroundings, being led safely and expertly by a trained instructor who will help you surpass any obstacles you find and show around you the beautiful cliffs, waterfalls, and crystal-clear pools you'll visit during this amazing experience.

- Short hike to the beginning of the canyoning experience
- Canyon descent through waterfalls, crystal-clear water wells, and rocky cliffs
- Stop at a tungsten mine in the mountain
- Hike back to the meeting point
- Equipment return and end of activity
Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the activity starts.
You must be able to swim (or at least be comfortable in the water).
If you suffer from vertigo (not fear of heights), canyoning is not necessarily recommended.
Good physical condition is essential for canyoning. The minimum requirement is to be able to walk easily for 2 hours on difficult terrain, and to have stable feet.
You must wear one pair of sports shoes (without flat soles) for the canyoning activity. Shoes will get wet, so don't forget to take a second pair of shoes to change into after the activity.
Written parental authorisation is required for minors to participate in this activity without an accompanying adult.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant or disabled people.
