Practical information
30-60 minute outrigger canoe surfing session from Waikiki Beach, Honolulu. The length of the activity depends on ocean conditions and wave frequency and you are guaranteed to catch 3 waves during the activity session. Each booking is exclusive to you and your group only.
-Meet canoe captains at meeting point on Waikiki Beach 15 minutes before activity start time
-Receive safety and activity briefing
-Launch canoe
-Learn how to paddle and navigate
-Paddle to the surf break and get in the link-up
-Catch 3 waves!
-Return to shore
-Disembark and debrief
-End of activity
Participants must be at least 5 years old to participate and paddlers must be over 12 years old. In a group of 6, 4 people will be asked to paddle and 2 will be riders.
If there are young children onboard, a parent or guardian must be present to hold the child during the ride and must provide their own lifejacket or floatation device.
Please note that outrigger canoes are not required by the U.S. coast guard to carry life jackets. Adult life jackets can be provided upon request and child life jackets must be supplied by participants.
The minimum number of people needed per booking is 3; however, in the case that there are only 1 or 2 people in a party, as long as you pay for the minimum pax of 3, you can book. If your group has less than 3 people, please add a note so that staff can be prepared to help paddle.
