Practical information
On this 5 days course, your training will be scheduled everyday from 9 am to 3 pm.
Days 1 and 2 - Learn to simulate a takeoff
- 3 hours of "school slope" (grass slope)
- try to put the glider above your head
- first sensations, try to simulate a real take off
- debriefing every hour to give technical input
- lunch break at a snack bar next to the school
- after lunch, 1 hour of theory on Monday and Tuesday to prepare for the big flight on Wednesday morning
Day 3 - The big flights
At the Forclaz or Planfait pass:
- first solo flight with radio assistance
- accompaniment and assistance of the instructor at take-off
- presence of an instructor at the landing to assist you during the flight and on arrival
Days 4 and 5 - Practical flight
- continuation of the activity for 2 days and flight training to reach a maximum of autonomy to become a real pilot
- 1 hour each afternoon on static inflation sessions (learn to inflate your glider without moving)
At the end of the morning on the last day, you will get your FFVL flight logbook (pilot's booklet)!
Participants must not weigh more than 100 kilos.
Note that this course is from Wednesday to Sunday (included), and that it isn't possible to do it in a spited way. Which means the course is five days in a row.
