Your private dog sledding tour begins when you arrive at the Last Frontier Mushing Coop. base near Fairbanks, meet your guides, and are welcomed into their authentic Mongolian yurt to get equipped with the provided Arctic gear. Once you are comfortable and warm, it is time to greet the dogs – you will have the chance to meet every member of your dogsled team! Finally, you will board the sled, get cosy under the blankets, and let the mushing begin!
The Yukon Quest trail, right outside of Fairbanks, will take you along 8 miles of spruce lined tracks and over frozen ponds and streams – a real winter wonderland that is sure to take your breath away! Halfway through the tour the dog sled tour will take a pause for the dogs to rest and for you to stretch your legs and explore your exquisite surroundings. Private dogsled tour along the Yukon Quest trail outside of Fairbanks, Alaska. In addition to the 45 minutes on the trail, the activity includes Arctic weather gear, the comfort of a warm Mongolian hut to begin and end the tour, and the chance to meet and bond with the sled dogs.
