White Water Rafting on the Salzach River

Paddle along the roaring rapids of the Salzach River in this thrilling white water rafting ride in Taxenbach.

Enjoy the stunning alpine scenery while a professional guide leads the way through a 15 km stretch of the river. This Class 3 rafting ride will take approximately 3 hours and is open to all different levels of experience. You will be sure to have a fun time passing through rapids with names like: The Labyrinth, Big Mama, The Rollercoaster, The German Indians, Wet Dreams, and Titanic Wave as the last surprise.

You will first meet with your guide at the Frost camp site in Taxenbach. Here, your guide will go over all safety precautions, how to use the equipment, and what you can expect out of the day. Then it’s time to grab a paddle and hit the water! As you make your way down the river and through the wild rapids be sure to look up at the spectacular mountain scenery. The glacial Salzach River is perfect for a day out on the water, offering a thrilling ride in the heart of Austrian nature. When we return to our camp we will sit down to enjoy the sun in our
lounge area.

If you want a more exclusive trip, you can choose the VIP rafting experience. The private raft will only be available to you and your guests along with your state-licensed rafting guide. All boats hold a maximum of 8 people. In this option you will choose your own starting time and a guide will pick you up at your hotel. A video from the tour is also included!
