The Salzach River runs through the Salzburg region of Austria and is known for its clear waters, peaceful mountain surroundings and wild rapids! During this guided white water rafting adventure on the Salzach River, along with your group of fellow rafters and guide, you will get to embrace thrilling sensations and incredible views throughout! This river offers vigorous waves and fun challenges at every bend, offering the opportunity for seasoned rafters and beginners alike to have a blast whilst pushing their limits from Taxenbach to Schwarzach!

To start your white water rafting adventure, you will meet your state-certified raft guide at the activity base in Taxenbach. From there you will receive a safety and activity briefing to make sure you will be confident out on the water. Then, you will be driven to the raft launch site and equipped with helmets, life vests, wetsuits, and neoprene booties to make sure you are safe and warm during the rafting session. Finally, it will finally be time to begin your white water rafting adventure on the Salzach River!

After your 2 hour white water rafting session comes to an end, you will be returned to the activity base in Taxenbach where you will enjoy a small snack and be presented with a certificate of your accomplishment – conquering the mighty Salzach!

2 hours of white water rafting down a grade 3/4 section (depending on water levels) of the Salzach River, suitable for ages 12 and up.

Activity requirements

All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.

All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
