Enjoy an exciting sea safari from Chania to the Akrotiri peninsula in a private boat. Explore spectacular sea caves and narrow canals in secluded bays! Swim and snorkel at stunning beaches including Stavros and Seitan Limania!
We leave Chania and proceed east to begin our day trip to the Akrotiri peninsula. Our first visit is at Macherida, a small, quiet sandy beach. During the spring, the beach is named for the wild gladioli (gladiolus italicus) that bloom in the fields behind the shore.
We next proceed to Stavros, a sandy, sheltered beach made famous in the film "Zorba the Greek." We climb onboard after a swim (and maybe a dance?) and round the north side of the headland, landing at Katholiko Creek, at the entrance of the tiny and spectacular valley... the deep blue water welcomes us to cool down!
The next stop is Seitan Limani Beach, where we may enjoy the crystal-clear seas from our boat away from the throng. We come to Marathi island and beach not far away, which is a great spot to stop for lunch.
We return to Chania's historic harbor in the afternoon, and if we're lucky, we could spot turtles!
Join us on this amazing boat trip exploration of the Akrotiri peninsula!
