The adventure begins at the starting point in Levi (pick-up is available from certain locations, please specify when booking). After meeting the experienced guide, you'll drive in a minivan to Köngäs, a small, remote village located approximately 15 km / 9 mi away from Levi. The further away you go from the city lights, the more chances you have at seeing the Northern Lights!

You'll arrive at the shores of the beautiful Lake Rautusjärvi, frozen during the winter months. Here, you'll strap on your snowshoes and receive a safety briefing from the guide. No previous snowshoeing is required for this activity. Following the guide, you'll begin walking across the frozen lake, away from any light pollution. If you're lucky, the incredible Aurora Borealis will appear in the sky above you!

Take in the mesmerising dancing colours and stars in the sky in this peaceful setting. You'll build a campfire in the middle of nature and enjoy hot drinks and cookies while admiring the lights. The guide will also share some information and stories about Lapland. At the end of the excursion, the guide will drive you back to your original pick-up point in Levi.
