This wilderness area has the least light pollution and the darkest night sky in Europe. You'll arrive in Sonkamuotka, a small village.

Far away from the city lights and car pollution, you'll have the best chance of witnessing the Northern Lights. As you wait for the lights to appear, the guide will share stories about Nordic legends and myths. Then, if you're lucky, the magical Aurora Borealis will appear in the night sky! The guide will capture professional photos of you with the dancing colours.

The journey continues to Sanna's Arctic Knife store, located in Sonkamuotka village. You'll enjoy a snack and hot drinks here with the Alatalo family, who have been living in this remote spot for three generations. They will teach you about Lapland's culture and life in this Arctic village. Then, you'll travel to a cabin at Sonkajarvi Lake, where you'll sit by the fire and admire the Northern Lights. At the end of the chase, the guide will transfer you back to your original starting point in Levi.
