A guided dog safari is one of the most exhilarating ways to discover this beautiful region!
The adventure begins at the Husky & Co. office in Saariselkä. From there, you will board the scenic transfer to the husky farm. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your experienced guide who will provide a safety briefing and dog sledding techniques (otherwise known as mushing) before you depart on the 10 km (6 miles) safari track with your dog team! Experience an adrenaline rush like none other as the energetic team of dogs pulls your sled through the Arctic landscapes.
Please note that each sled is shared by two people, one participant drives while the other can relax while sitting comfortably on reindeer hides. However, midway through the tour, you will have the opportunity to switch places so that everyone can share in the fun!
Midway through the excursion, you and your group (a maximum of 35 participants) will stop at the most scenic locations, specifically chosen for group photographs. After the ride, you'll warm up with hot drinks and snacks. And, you never know, you might even meet adorable Husky puppies as well (subject to availability)! You'll return to the original departure point in Saariselkä with memories that will last a lifetime!
