Snowmobile Safari to the Top of the Ylläs Fell

The Ylläs Fell is situated in the Ylläs-Pallas National Park, which is often referred to as the "heart of Lapland". An iconic natural feature in the region, Ylläs consists of two main peaks: Yllästunturi in the north (718 metres above sea level) and Kesänkijärvi in the south (630 metres above sea level). The Ylläs Fell is the northern peak and is the higher of the two.

For your convenience, you can choose between being picked up from listed locations or meeting onsite (please specify when booking). Once you are outfitted in your winter gear, which includes thermal overalls, boots, wool socks, a scarf, a hat, and gloves, you will receive a safety briefing and an introduction to snowmobiling from your experienced guide. Then, with your helmet on, the adventure begins!

You and your group (a maximum of 15 participants) will set out into the Arctic wilderness on a 25 km (15.5 mile) journey into the Arctic wilderness. Travelling at high speeds, you're in for an adrenaline rush like none other. Once you've reached the summit of the Ylläs Fell, you're in for some breathtaking panoramic views reaching as far as Sweden. Don't forget to bring your camera, you won't want to miss these incredible photo opportunities.

While enjoying the scenery, you'll be treated to a hot beverage and delicious pastry at a charming restaurant. An excellent way to warm up and savour the moment! Your snowmobiling safari continues through snow-capped forests or frozen marshes, depending on the weather conditions. You'll board the transfer back to your original departure point, contented with your time spent outdoors in beautiful Finnish Lapland.
