The snowshoeing itinerary starts at the Foyer de Ski de Fond du Plateau des Glières in Haute-Savoie, near Annecy.
You will walk to the Chalet des Mouilles. You will cross the Lanches wood and come out of it at 1560m altitude to join two alpine chalets, the Crêt St-Germain and the Reinette.
From there, you will see the Notre-Dame des Neiges chapel, a small chapel located in the heart of a historical place, famous for its role in the Resistance. The trail ends in the fresh snow of the Plaine de Dran and then on a marked trail on the Plateau to the Foyer de Ski de Fond.

Practical information
- Meeting point at 10:30 am at the Foyer de Ski de Fond du Plateau des Glières, car park
- Departure for a 3 hour walk
- Start of the itinerary towards the Chalet des Mouilles
- Crossing of the Lanches wood
- Leave the wood at 1560m to reach the alpine chalets of Crêt St-Germain and Reinette
- Return via the Plaine de Dran then on a marked plateau
- End of the hike around 2:15 pm at the Plateau des Glières
- No physical condition is required for this activity, you just need to be at least 6 years old.
- Hiking level: WT1 Easy hiking (max. 25 degrees of slope, no steep slopes nearby)
