Canyoning in the higher Ecouges Canyon gives you access to the higher side of the iconic Ecourges canyon, known as the most beautiful canyon in the Vercors. In this beautiful and steep canyon near Grenoble, you will get to push your limits and experience canyoning like never before!

The higher part of the Ecouges Canyon is reserved for those more sportive, who are already familiar with rappelling. This part of Ecouges Canyon is also the most technical, and thus most demanding part of the canyon. There will be 13 opportunities for rappelled descents ending with a magnificent 60 metre waterfall as an unforgettable end to your adventure.

You will be provided with high quality safety gear and wetsuits to keep you protected during your canyoning. Your instructors will be there to support and guide you through the canyon, as well as share their knowledge about the flora and fauna around you for a complete canyoning experience. Not only will you be surrounded by impressive limestone formations, but you will also have a breathtaking view of the entire valley!

Practical information

4 hour descent of higher Ecouges Canyon, inclusive of 13 rappels and descent a 60 metre waterfall at the end.

Course of events

-Meet with your guide at the given meeting point in Ecouges 2 carpark

-Get equipped and receive saftey and activity briefing

-Shuttle to higher Ecouges carpark

-4 hour canyon descent

-5 minute walk back to where cars are parked

-Finish activity and return equipment

Being in good physical condition is required to take part in this activity.

All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.

This activity is not accessible to pregnant or disabled people.
