Ski touring in The Spanish Pyrenees

If you've become an amazing skier and not even black slopes are a challenge for you anymore, why not get off the groomed slopes and experience the thrill of actually exploring the snowy mountains of the Pyrenees! Ski touring is probably the best way you can really feel what skiing in ungroomed parts of the mountain feels like.

The Catalan Pyrenees have a lot of mountains and peaks that during winter get covered in snow, from all of them the area around Nuria stands out. There, you'll find Vallter where Vertical Emotions will teach you all necessary skills so you can start ski touring and exploring the mountains in a different way!

During this half o full-day session, you'll learn how to handle your skis as you make your way up and down the mountain. While climbing up mountains, you'll require special skis which allow mobility to the heel of the boots. Also, you'll learn to use ski skins, a stripe of a special textile, that will help you have more traction as you go up.

You'll also cover how to stay safe in case of an avalanche, the use of ARVA transceivers, and safety measures in general. Make sure to bring all necessary safety equipment, which is a basic component of this kind skiing.
