Go down the superb Giffre river in the Alps near Samoëns and cruise through the heart of the Gorges des Tines!

Get away from it all for a white-water adventure on the Giffre, in the heart of nature, and enjoy all the thrills! You'll discover the cano-raft, an inflatable boat for two people offering real freedom of movement. Aboard this craft, descend the river and its rapids from Sixt-Fer-A-Cheval to Samoëns. The challenge will be to coordinate with your partner to get down the Giffre river in Samoëns!

Altitude Rafting's professional guides will accompany you on a semi-autonomous canoe-raft descent. After a briefing to explain a few navigation techniques, the keys to reading the river and understanding the gestures that will guide you along the way, you'll embark straight away for 1? to 2 hours of activity! Guides will be on hand to help you progress, whatever your level. This canoe-rafting activity near Samoëns is accessible to beginners with no previous rafting experience, but you do need to be sporty.

You'll be canoe-rafting down the Giffre in Haute-Savoie, a mountain river in the heart of unspoilt countryside that's full of surprises! Practical information

7 km of canoe-raft between Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval and Samoëns for 1h30 to 2h on the water (count 2h to 2h30 of activity in total).

Course of events

- Meet at the Altitude Rafting office

- Welcome by the team and instructor

- Participants are kitted out and reminded of specific rafting instructions

- Start of the 7km descent of the Giffre, between 1h30 and 2h

Activity requirements

It is necessary to be in good physical condition.

If you are two people but want a more fun way down the river, rafting is the way to go.

If the water level is too high, you will probably go rafting.
