Scuba Diving with PETER Diving System in Marina di Gioiosa Ionica

The PETER Diving System makes scuba diving easier for people from all walks of life who have always wanted to scuba dive! From children (ages 8 and up), senior citizens, or people with functional diversity, “PETER” has offered an innovative way for people to experience the unique sensation of breathing underwater for the first time. By using compressed air tanks that remain on the surface and long air hoses that reach a maximum depth of 6 meters, first-time divers will get to navigate the underwater world more easily without bringing along the typical equipment underneath the surface.

With your certified scuba instructor, you will learn how to use the diving equipment in a simple, scuba diving theory lesson before experiencing your very first dive at a maximum depth of 5 meters! From breathing underwater for the first time, experiencing the feeling of weightlessness and being able to fly in all directions, and to having a sense of absolute freedom as you explore the unknown, you’ll be sure to have a fun and unforgettable experience for your first dive. If you’re lucky, you may even get to spot seahorses!

Your scuba diving course takes place in the crystal-clear waters of Ionian Sea. Depending on the weather and sea conditions, your instructor will choose the best site for you! You can expect to dive in front of Marina di Gioiosa Ionica or in other easy dive sites like sunken wrecks of the “Kingstown” or “Captain Antonio", or in the underwater archaeological site of the Greek city of “Kaulon.” This activity also includes:

- A theory lesson that’s focused on the diving equipment and the communication signals used underwater while wearing the scuba gear.
- 30 min. underwater session, accompanied by your scuba instructor.
