According to legend, the island was formed by local seamen who, after finding an icon of the Virgin Mary on a rock in the sea, began throwing stones at the same spot after each successful journey. This eventually created the small, rocky, artificial island. You’ll stop at the island to explore its museum and 17th-century church, adorned with stunning frescoes and artwork.

The trip then continues to old abandoned submarine tunnels, Rakite, Spilice and Rose, made by the Yugoslav Navy. You’ll also have a panoramic view from the water of Mamula Island. Mamula is infamous for its historical fortress, which was used as a prison camp during World War II. The guide will share some facts and insights about the history of this island. Then, you’ll sail to the Blue Cave, the highlight of the trip! The Blue Cave is located on the Lustica Peninsula and is one of the most popular destinations in Kotor Bay.

The Blue Cave was formed at the foot of a 30-metre high cliff, as a result of thousands of years of sea waves hitting the porous rocks of Lustica. It gets its name from the mesmerising blue light that fills the cave's interior, created by sunlight filtering through an underwater entrance. You’ll stop here for a refreshing swim in the enchanting waters, a memorable experience. The guide will also capture some photos of the magical setting. Finally, you’ll enjoy the scenic boat ride back to the starting point in Kotor.
