Activity
Meet your instructor at the activity base for the canyoning trip in Skurda Gorge. Suitable for total beginners, this exciting descent 800m into the heart of the ravine doesn’t require any previous climbing or rappelling experience, but a sense of adventure is essential! A combination of dizzying abseils and heart-stopping jumps, your excursion starts with a 40-minute hike into the limestone cliffs of Mt. Lovćen, reaching a disused dam that signals the entrance to the canyon. After a short safety briefing, follow your guide into the high ravine, travelling through a boulder field where you will spend the rest of the day rappelling down ancient waterfalls, jumping into freshwater pools, scrambling across the cliff face and ziplining across giant crevasses! There are 26 abseils in total, the highlight being a knee-trembling 35m solo! Work as a team to tackle each new obstacle, learning how to use the natural features to navigate thanks to your instructor. A full day excursion, once you reach the end of the canyon, you will travel back into town where your return transport will be waiting.
