You'll get set up on the traditional wooden sled, seating two participants. Following the guide, the reindeer will lead you on a thrilling journey through the surrounding Arctic wilderness! The ride lasts for approximately 15-20 minutes, passing the breathtaking valley and coastline. After returning to the camp, you'll say goodbye to the reindeer and gather inside a lavvu (tent) for an immersive Sami experience!
To start, you'll enjoy a 3-course candlelit meal, consisting of local ingredients. Indulge in a cold smoked salmon starter, hot 'bidos' (reindeer stew) for the main, followed by hot drinks and dessert (vegan/vegetarian options are available). After eating, you'll learn about the unique culture, history and rituals of the local Sami people, the indigenous group of Scandinavia.
