Is it whale watching season now in Reunion Island? If so, head out to sea from Le Port and try your hand at swimming alongside them using fins, mask and snorkel!
Snorkeling with whales in Reunion Island is an experience not to be missed during the season, which generally runs from July to October, and in the company of passionate professionals who will tell you all there is to know about these magnificent cetaceans! Departing from Le Port, to the north of Saint-Paul, this whale watching trip in Reunion Island will take you out to sea in a small group of no more than 10 participants (instructor included), offering you an unrivalled experience.
Accompanied not only by state-certified instructors, but also by volunteers from the TENDUA association (an independent association for the protection of biodiversity), you will set off in search of cetaceans aboard a small motorboat equipped with an awning to protect you from the sun. A first launch will take place without the animals, to explain the approach and the behaviour to adopt so that you are ready when the time comes. All that is left to do then is to find some whales that will accept your presence so that you can get back in the water and enjoy some unforgettable moments!
Requiring you to be able to swim on your own, and in the impressive environment of the deep blue, this snorkeling excursion with the whales from Le Port will leave you with incredible memories. Whether you are taking part with your children aged 8 or over, your family or friends, being able to approach these majestic creatures with the utmost respect and observe them in their natural environment will fill your eyes with stars.
So if you would like to go whale watching near Saint-Paul on Reunion Island, and swim with them if conditions allow, this snorkeling excursion from Le Port is the activity you need to book!
