Swim at the famous bay of Kalogries, snorkel in the cave of Sykia, and stand up paddle at Kleftiko Beach on this day-long catamaran cruise in Milos. Welcoming adventurers of all ages on this family-friendly excursion!
Milos is a stunning Greek island located in the Aegean Sea, known for its natural beauty, stunning beaches, and crystal-clear waters. The island's volcanic past has endowed it with unique geological formations, including caves, sea arches, and hot springs. This trip begins in Adamas, the main port town of Milos.
The adventure begins by arriving at the starting point in Adamas. After you've boarded the catamaran ship (maximum capacity of 12 passengers), your experienced skipper will set sail for the eastern coast of the bay. You will pass the site of ancient Christian catacombs and the colourful village of Klima, where the renowned statue of Venus de Milo was first discovered. As you take photos, your guide will share interesting historical facts and myths about the island. Then, you will pass by the famous ‘Arkoudes’, an impressive 6 metre (20 foot) bear-shaped rock at the eastern entrance of the bay.
With the wind in your sails, you'll arrive at Cape Vani. This impressive 30-metre (98-foot) tall rock that marks the west entrance of the bay was home to one of the first mineral mines of Milos. After observing the quay of the 19th-century mines, you will stop for a 20-minute swimming/snorkelling break in the crystal-clear waters of Kalogries Bay. Following your swim and some delicious snacks, you'll set sail for Sykia, one of the largest and most impressive caves of Milos. Your Captain will anchor in the nearby bay and you'll have a chance to swim and/or take a small motorboat to visit a cave.
The next stop on your voyage is Kleftiko, where the sailing ship will anchor for a 2-hour stay. The unique limestone rock formations are one of the most distinctive landscapes in the world! Dive into the water with the snorkelling gear and discover the life beneath the waves. Stand up paddling equipment is also available on board if you want to try a fun water sport! Back onboard the boat, you'll be offered ice-cold beers or traditional ouzo alongside a delicious and freshly prepared lunch (vegan/vegetarian options are available). Then, you'll head back to Adamas with lifelong memories of your time on the Aegean Sea.
