PADI Open Water Diver Course from Paradise Beach in Mykonos

Mykonos is an ideal destination for scuba diving, located in the Cyclades Islands in Greece. This island is home to warm, crystal-clear waters, unique marine life, and fascinating dive sites. The course takes place at Paradise Beach, one of Mykonos' most popular beaches.

The PADI Open Water Diver course is perfect for complete beginners who have never tried scuba diving before. Upon arrival at the dive centre in Mykonos, you'll be greeted by the certified instructor. The course is completed over 4 days, or 3 intensive days. You'll start with the theory of scuba diving and learn about the equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, buoyancy compensator, regulator, wetsuit, and tank). The academic study part will be completed using the PADI online platform, covering diving physics, physiology, medicine, environment and dive safety.

Throughout the course, you'll complete 6 theoretical training sessions in shallow waters. You'll get used to the equipment and learn about diving hazards, personal limitations and how to behave underwater to stay safe as a diver. Each day, you'll have at least one theoretical session and one open water dive. You'll complete 5 open water dives at various dive sites around Mykonos. While learning how to dive safely from the guide, you'll also explore fascinating underwater reefs and discover unique marine life, including wrasses, colourful fish, lobsters, and octopus.

At the end of the 4-day course, you will perform what you have learnt and receive your PADI Open Water certificate, allowing you to dive anywhere in the world at a maximum depth of 18 metres (59 feet)! If you wish to progress your skills further after this course, you can take part in the Advanced Open Water Diver course.
