The glacier hike to Juklavass Glacier begins at the starting point at Fonna Glacier Ski Resort, where you'll meet your experienced guide. They will provide all of the equipment for glacier hiking (mountain boots, crampons, ice axes, harnesses, helms, and ropes). The difficulty of the hike can be adjusted based on the group's abilities and the weather conditions. After a quick safety briefing and instructions on how to use the equipment, the glacier hiking adventure on Juklavass Glacier begins!

Following the guide's instructions, you'll climb on the glacier and discover its stunning natural beauty. The glacier features mesmerising blue ice formations and rugged terrain, contributing to the dramatic and picturesque scenery of the Hardangerfjord area. Juklavass Glacier has both flat ice and more challenging crevasses, and the guide will adapt the tour depending on your preferences.

When you reach the top of the glacier, you'll stop for a lunch break and enjoy the incredible panoramic vistas of the North Sea and the Rosendal Alps. The guide will share insights about the glacier's culture, physical geography and climate. Then, you'll hike back to the starting point at the Fonna Glacier Ski Resort.

De tocht start met een grote groep die na de eerste klim wordt verdeeld in kleinere groepjes van acht tot tien mensen, ingedeeld in niveaus van conditie. Op die manier is de tour voor iedereen goed te doen. Het was een hele gave en soms uitdagende tocht waarbij we niet een standaard pad bewandelde maar een eigen route over de gletsjer beklommen. Alles erg veilig met de juiste instructies. Heel bijzonder en zeker een aanrader!

No pudimos terminarla, nos pillo un día de mucha lluvia y no nos indicaron que no íbamos correctamente equipados para un día como ese y nosotros no lo sabíamos (no era nuestro deber saberlo, en otras actividades nos han equipados muchísimo mejor).
