Jondal is a charming village located in western Norway, along the shores of the Hardangerfjord. This region has a rich history related to Norwegian culture, and features stunning natural landscapes. It is also home to Folgefonna Glacier, a vast natural glacier.

The adventure begins at the meeting point in Jondal, where you'll be greeted by the experienced guide. You'll start with a 30-minute walk to the traditional campsite, located atop Folgefonna Glacier. The guide will give you a tour of the unique husky campsite, equipped with traditional Scandinavian tents. Then, you'll meet the adorable and friendly Huskies! You'll have time to play and cuddle with these affectionate dogs.

In the evening, a traditional Norwegian meal will be served around a campfire. You'll use reindeer skins to keep you warm, as you learn what it's like to live in a remote Arctic location. That night, you'll sleep in a cosy tent with a double bed, bedding and pillows. The next morning, a delicious breakfast will be served while you admire the breathtaking views of the snowy landscapes. Then, it's time to say goodbye to your furry friends!

Activity requirements

Please note that you must pay a toll fee to access the meeting point. The road leading up to the ski centre is a toll road owned and operated by Jondal Municipality, with a cost of 100 NOK per vehicle. The toll fee includes parking and contributes to snow clearing and maintenance.
