Kalamata is one of the top destinations in Peloponese in Greece famous for the beautiful beaches and the rocky mountains. All kind of watersports activities can be found in Kalamata and practiced in the blue waters of the lagoon.

The landscapes surrounding the city are famous for their olive groves that stretches as far as the eye can see. The high quality black olives can produce up to 45 000 tons of olive oil and the region even received the PDO certification.

Kalamata was built at the foot of the majestic Taygetus mountain range, with peaks up to 2 400 metres. Nature lovers will enjoy discovering the beautiful landscapes of the Messenia region on the several hiking trails available.

The city benefits from a wonderful fine sandy beach where you can practice several water sports. It extends over 5 km from Verga to the port of Kalamata. You will never get bored thanks to the numerous beach bars and restaurants that bring the seaside to life.

Sailing, sea kayaking, scuba diving and snorkeling are among the numerous nautical sports that you can do in the Messenian Gulf.

One of the most popular outdoor activity in Kalamata is freediving. Freediving Club Greece is a school providing courses for all AIDA levels. Learn how to control your breath and explore the underwater world with a simply breath!

About Canyoning Excursion at the Neda Waterfalls Gorge in the Peloponnese.
Wij deden dit al over de hele wereld, maar deze was de mooiste en leukste! Prachtige natuur, platte ondergrond (geen puntige rotsen die je voeten pijn doen), en mooie opbouw met kleine sprongetjes en rappel tot iets zwaarder. Ideaal parcours ! Dankjewel Fotis en Fotis voor de leuke begeleiding en vooral voor de foto's van langs boven én langs onder. Ideaal ! Grote aanrader.

About Canyoning Excursion at the Neda Waterfalls Gorge in the Peloponnese.
We had the best time on this excursion! They guides were very organized and prepared and very personable and fun! The trip through the canyon with the jumps and rappelling was so much fun!! Our two teenage boys said it was the best thing we’ve done in Greece! Even the little picnic at the end was such a fun experience!

About Guided Sea Kayak Excursion in Kardamyli near Kalamata.
It was fun and the guides were cool, funny and attentive. The activity did not require any previous knowledge. We had such a good time and would recommend the activity to our friends.

About Guided Sea Kayaking Excursion along the East Coast of Kalamata.
We had so much fun on this tour with Jorge - stunning scenery and explored coves and beaches that would be virtually inaccessible by foot or car. Overall we kayaked for about 10km but the training we had at that start meant our technique was correct and it was exhilarating rather than exhausting. Lunch stop was lovely on a secluded beach with fresh local produce.
