Home of the superb Catalan fortress La Alhambra, Granada is one of the most visited cities in Andalusia. Located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park, in between four rivers Beiro, Darro, Genil and Monachil & just an hour away from the Costa Tropical make Granada a wonderful destination.
La Alhambra is a palace and fortress that was constructed in 889b.C that overlooks the grand panoramas of Sierra Nevada. It was later renovated by Moorish Emir, Mohammed ben Al-Ahmar in the mid-13th century. This magnificent and imposing complex has served as a royal palace and court and is now open to visitors.
Adrenaline hunters will find the city is not only filled with amazing Andalusian history but also, perfect surroundings for extreme sports.
The ancient city has everything at reach. With a changing territory, Granada is the perfect place for MTB downhill & uphill challenges, quad biking or even intense 4x4 routes in the marvellous mountains.
Due to the different streams that run through the area it’s not uncommon to see rafting & kayaking in channels that detach from the main rivers. Still canyoning is one of the most practiced sports in the area.
Being close to the beach makes it possible for visitors to participate in exciting water based activities such as windsurfing, kitesurfing and surfing. As well as paragliding, with outstanding views of the city and coast.
